- le 15 septembre 2020 : le Cool Katana Friends meeting a bien eu lieu ! Nous avons passé un super week-end en Dordogne, avec plus de 30 personnes présentes malgré les restrictions liées au COVID, et la joie d'accueilir de courageux allemands et anglais qui sont venus partager les plaisirs de la Katana avec nous. Et nous en avons profité pour fixer avec notre hôte génial, Hans, du Camping Moto Dordogne, la date du Prochain EuroKat : 9-10-11 JUILLET 2021 ! Vous pouvez réserver votre emplacement dès à présent ! Et tant que j'y suis, j'ai ajouté dans la section Fans>Market l'annonce de Carl qui vend sa 750 du côté d'Orléans.
The Cool Kats Friends meeting defintely happened! We had a wonderful weekend in Dordogne, with more than 30 attendants, with brave Germans and English visitors who came to share the Katana pleasure with us. We decided with our lovely host Hans from Camping Moto Dordogne the dates for the next EuroKat: 9-10-11 JULY 2021! So you can book your spots right now! While I'm at it, I also added in the Fans>Market section the an ad for Carl's 750!
- le 12 juillet 2020 : le rassemblement des 14-15-16 AOUT 2020 aura bien lieu, mais nous l'appelerons Cool Kats Friends meeting - le rassemblement des potes des Katana cool ! Avec le Coronavirus, certains ne pouvaient plus participer à l'EuroKat 9 que l'on reporte à 2021. On se retrouve donc tous bien autour de la piscine avec nos Kats le mois prochain ! The 14-15-16 AUGUST 2020 meeting is really happening - but we are now calling it the Cool Kats Friends meeting ! Because of the Coronavirus, some could not attend EK9 so we now moving it to 2021. Nous avons droit à un tarif spécial (15 euros l'entrée), et pareil, il faut m'envoyer un message pour s'inscrire. Pour participer à la parade menée par Kevin Schwantz sur le circuit, c’est gratuit sur le site de Suzuki France : https://www.suzuki-moto.com/actualites-suzuki/sunday-ride-classic-venez-rouler-avec-kevin-schwantz. En bonus, Chris m'a informé que team SERCT73 nous accueillera dans son paddock pour parler Katana et boire un coup ! - le 21/11/2013 : Noël arrive ! la Katana au 1/6e fabriquée par HPI Racing vient d'arriver en magasin - le budget est conséquent, mais ce sera peut-être le plus beau modèle réduit monté de Katana qui existe (plus d'infos dans la section Memorabilia>Toys) ! Disponible en France chez Burn Models ! Le Club vous propose plus modestement les T-shirts que le club anglais a fait fabriquer pour nous : ils sont vendus 24€ l'unité (hors frais de port), sont disponibles en deux couleurs (noir et gris clair), en trois tailles (S, M et L) et en deux coupes (H/F). Envoyez-nous un mail pour commander, et vite car les stocks sont limités (3 de chaque !!!)

Modified the bike files in the Collection section. You will now find a new colour table for each bike, instead of a general one in the section. By the way, HPI Racing recently showed its progress on the 1:6th scale GSX1100SL to be launched soon ! But it is an expensive beast !

The CKF Annual Assembly took place on the 7th, the report is published! Added Carlos's 1000 Kat in the "Fans>Friends", added the 47th German Treffen in the 2013 planning, and an ad for the Motad exhausts that I had on my 750s and 1100 before fitting original equipment ;-)

Voici les projets du Club Katana France pour 2013 :
- journée "toutes dehors" : le jour J, toutes les Katana se lancent sur la route et en fabriquent des souvenirs (photos, vidéos, pourquoi pas vidéoconférence... etc) qui sont publiées sur la page Facebook du club et transmis à la presse.
- tour de France en relais : les Katanistes motivés se rendent chez le kataniste le plus proche pour barbecue, apéro, restau, soirée (toutes les idées sont bonnes) à qui il passe le relais pour aller faire de même avec le kataniste suivant. Cela demande un peu de préparation bien sûr pour préparer la carte, et la durée du tour. Ce tour de France peut aussi se coupler avec la participation à des évènements tels que les Coupes Moto Légende (1er et 2 juin 2013 à Dijon Prénois), le Bol d'Or Classic (13-14-15 septembre à Nevers-magny Cours), le le Salon Moto Légende (25-26-27 octobre 2013 au Parc Floral de Paris), ou encore des meetings Katana à l'étranger !!!
Nous organisons l'Assemblée Générale Ordinaire le dimanche 7 avril à 13h à Bordeaux.
Nous y discuterons bien sûr de l'administration du club mais aussi de l'organisation de ces évènements, et notamment le choix des dates !
Au passage, je vous rappelle que pour lancer un magazine du club, nous avons besoin de contenu ! N'hésitez pas à nous transmettre vos histoires en Katana :-)

Here are the project of the CKF for 2013 :
- "All Kats Grand Day Out" : on a D-day, all Kats go out in the open and make souvenirs (pictures, videos, conferences...) which are published on the Club's Facebook page and transmitted to the Press.
- Tour de France in relay : all the motivated Kat riders travel to the nearest Kat owner for a BBQ, lunch, party (all ideas are good) to whom he passes the relay to go do the same with the next Kat owner. This demands more planning of course to prepare a map and the duration of the trip. The Tour de France can be linked with pit stops in other events such as races or exhibition, or Foreign Kat meetings !
The General Assembly for the club will be held on Sunday 7th April at 13:00 in Bordeaux.
We will discuss the club's administration and the organisation of these events, and more specially the schedule !
By the way I remind you that to launch a Club's magazine, I need some content ! Don't hesitate to tell us your Kat stories !

- le 10/09/2012 : et voilà, l'Eurokat est passé ! Nous n'avons eu que des compliments pour l'organisation, donc nous sommes officiellement épuisés, mais HEU-REUX ! Merci à tous les participants pour l'ambiance familiale et chaleureuse (et ce n'était pas juste à cause des 40°C ;-). Le compte-rendu est disponible en format PDF dans la section Fans>Meetings. Autre info, le magazine Café Racer N°59 (septembre/octobre) consacre un très bel article aux frères Poulard - foncez vers votre kiosque ! Enfin, sachez qu'un modèle réduit de la GSX1100SL au 1/6e va sortir en février 2013 chez HPI-Racing : Attention au budget quand même !!!EK5 is now over ! we only had compliments, so we are officially exhausted, but HAPPY! Thanks to all the participants for the warm family atmosphere (and it was not just because of the 40°C external temperature!-). The report can be downloaded in PDF format in the Fans>Meetings section. Other news, the sept./october issue of Cafe Racer magazine dedicated a nice article to the Poulard brothers! Moto Journal has just released a nice issue featuring a gorgeous 550 and Classic Bike Mechaniker in Germany published a copy of an English article (Memorabilia section). By the way, I'm sorry to have to remove the German PDFs for the moment as my server space is saturated. I'll have to remove PDF docs regularly and alternatively to keep improving the website !

The first book in French about Suzuki is out ! It's the work of Bertrand Lebrun and Maël Kerneis, published at ETAI. And it's my Katana inside !!! I spent such a nice summer I did not take time to update the website. *shame!*. The big news is the creation of the French Katana Club, officially registered with the French administration, founded by Laurent, Jean-Jacques and myself. A big relief for the KOC Japan members, who are all safe, even if the radiation risk is still there. Just a little update to show you the 1100 next to the 650 with their nice Motad 4-into-1s (Sounds like advertising, but their deserve it ;-). As you can see I'm seriously studying the shortening of the 650 seat for the ED-1 replica !!!

Having recovered from the fantastic Jubilee in Austria, (bravo Erich for the organisation, to Mr. Kasten from Target Design and Mr. Ehn owner of the Eggenburg Motorcycle Museum for their welcoming and their passion, and to all the attendants for the great atmosphere !), I've created a new section in the meetings area to report the EuroKats 1, 2 and the Jubilee.
